HEHEE Ce has decided to blog because last night was.. fun. interesting, eyeopening.. to the point then.
Last night there was Band. duh. every tuesday night there is.. BUT it was Solo Competition. this year there were 13 competitors. technically 14 but one was a duet. the duet won actually.. but again, in all technicality, they should have been disqualified. but i heard them practise before that and it was seriously really good.
im still not on the topic on why it was fun.
we had sectionals. to me it was productive. got the chance to sort out a few passages though more practise is still needed. Benjamin was there today.. that sucked. Alan was really nice. He tried his best to sit down first before Ben could sit next to me. but of course it couldnt be always. the time he couldnt do that, the idiot put his trombone on my foot. specifically, on my shoe over the toe area.
still not the fun part yet.
we had combine for the last 45 min of practise [the time before that was all sectionals except for those involved in solo comp]. we played through movement IV of 3rd symphony while waiting for the results of the solo comp to come back. and also to practise as in ensemble before Sir could hear us. he, of course, foiled our plans, as always, and came back to hear i think quite a bulk of the movement. so we skipped to playing through The Sound of Music. second time i played the 3rd part for that. first time was when they first gave out tohe score. the other times i was playing second. so i was almost pactically sight reading the score but most of the rhythm and notes were the same or similar i just have to get the pitching right -__-
and yup. im still not passed the fun part.
i guess i must have stayed in the band room longer than intended. Usually im near one of the last few but this time i was seriously part of the last few so in the end i got my chance to take the bus home with Clement, his senior [shit i forgot his name!] and *drumroll* An Chun xD {yes ive finally touched on the fun part}
i know my chances with him are close to zero but at least a friendship formation it isnt as farfetched as with MT. ive learned to be content with what i have xD [so yes. i dont think bunnies will ever get the chance to suan me :P]
it wasnt just on the bus ride hom that was fun, it was the entire time spent with 3 of them right from walking from the band room to the busstop/mrt station. now i know the secret on how to delay going home to take the emptier bus.
step1: be one of the last few to leave the band room
step2: after leaving the band room, stay outside and talk to people [its good if you were already talking to someone before]
step3: walk SLOWLY [<--emphasis]
step4: be funny and take the lift up to mrt level [only 1 floor up] and while in the lift "accidentally" keep pressing the door open button as the doors are about to close fully.[you may also try pressing the level button of the floor you're at {1}]
step5: walk SLOWLY [<--emphasis] unless you're dead hungry
step6: in the case that you are hungry, rush to 7eleven to get food [hotdog and sandwitch?]. be sure to rush past other band members on the way saying "'SCUSE ME!"
step7: while in 7eleven, make sure to obstruct band members that are buying food, therefore hindering you in making a quick purchase
step8: eat food
step9: look for a toilet
step10: the toilet at the mrt may be locked so go back to skol to utilise the facilities.
step11: WALK SLOWLY [to toilet of course]
step12: fill water bottle on the way to toilet. be sure to make a joke about using the toilet of your opposite gender especially if said toilet is nearer the water cooler than your own.
step13: in the toilet, take your time.
step14: although youre on the right floor to meet your going home busmates [you would have split up because you were walking slowly to the toilet while the others brisked walked. in so doing, you would have gone to different toilets], insist that going down the stairs is much faster.
step15: argue that you didnt hear your companion telling you that staying on the previous floor was faster
step16: change meeting point directly to the busstop itself.
step17: while being occupied trying to do steps 1 to 16, you may have missed a bus or two. no worries. WAIT FOR THE NEXT BUS WHILE TALKING CRAP AKA GOSSIP.

footnote2: this process is to be repeated after every band practise.
yup. the secrets to going home in an empty bus. of course, you'd definitely reach home later. between 11 to 11.30pm. but its worth it for the company and the empty bus.
